Dear Libra,
Please don't get all worried by doom and gloom forecasts about your ruling planet going backwards this month! If you've felt yourself stymied, stuck, giving all with no return, worried about money (a big one), and generally like you're paddling frantically upstream in your work and making no progress - hang on! It's all about to get much more ENJOYABLE.
Venus IS retrograde right now, but the lovely planet is just as beautiful stepping backwards as forwards. For instance, this goddess of love and beauty RE-calls and RE-summons: ex-lovers, past charms, old luck you loved. As she RE-trograded last Monday, May 17, I wouldn't be surprised if an old flame hasn't already popped up, much to your surprise...
Also, because forward progress is NOT the order of the month, you will have found yourself going in fits and starts. One day has been terrible, the next great. Or, in one hour you doubted everything you did recently, and then the next hour you receive wonderful confirmation and praise for what you did!
You just can't CONTROL it - that's all. Retrogrades, on the deepest spiritual level, mean: Go Zen, give up control, accept what comes. It just means being smart, which Librans are (very, very smart!) You can't stop the rain, right? Dear, Libra, try to think of this month like that. And you will experience some of the best times of your life this June - I promise you.
It is difficult being a Libra because yours is the Princess and the Pea sign of the Zodiac. They say Virgo is, but truly it's Libra, because Libra can't help weighing up every side of that blinking pea and those sixteen mattresses! What if I did this instead of that, what if this happened, or what if this were different...and so you think, on and on...
Often, the contrary thinking and trying to make a choice ends up making you feel completely paralysed. And this is VERY IMPORTANT to remember this June: do NOT feel pushed to make a choice. Venus Retrograde is NOT the time to do anything drastic to get yourself out of your feeling of non-movement.
Do NOT rush into:
Moving across the country,
Changing jobs,
Affairs with strangers (exes are okay -- we'll call them retrograde lovers)
Relinquishing old friends / club memberships / your citizenship
Ordering a new wardrobe / new style,
Altering your looks (re-schedule that hair appointment, or god forbid any plastic surgery to AFTER June 29 or you will be sorry)
Spending a lot of money (or you'll be worse than you are now.)
Hosting a massive party / fashion show / celebratory event
Hang on to what you have. Remember that old adage: the devil you know is better than the angel you don't.

After June 29, you can let loose and do all the radical, life-changing, transformational moves you want.
Remember that Neptune, planet of illusion and dreaminess, went retrograde when Venus did. On Monday, May 17, Neptune's cast of enchantment started going backwards in your fifth house of love. This means that until late October - when she goes direct again - you will cast a clearer eye on all areas ruled by the fifth house.
Mirages and unhealthy spells should lift here. You will see more reality in those things ruled by the fifth house, which besides love affairs include: creativity, children, drama, theatre, entertainment, risk-taking, speculation, gambling, parties, and fun.
Perhaps you can just enjoy these things rather than thinking, as you might do during this confusing time, that any of these things could be THE ANSWER.
The answer, dear Libra, truly lies in trusting yourself and keeping on doing what you're doing. You might not feel like you're getting any payback at all - but you are. The results just don't come in until after June 29. And then the Harvest, particularly in your career and work, is SPECTACULAR. Let's take a look at your career for a moment.

The most exciting event to happen for Librans world-wide, and I've saved the best for last, is your VENUS TRANSIT. Honor yourself. Make up a special ritual. Venus will pass directly between the Sun and the Earth on this day, and you will FEEL her power, undeniably.

I predict "serious complications" will happen to Michael Moore, another Gemini Jupiter in the firing line (Howard Stern, Oprah Winfrey, Art Garfunkel and Martha Stewart are also Gemini Jupiter.) Awards will not protect him, just as popularity did not protect Howard Stern and money and power did not protect Martha Stewart.
Moore's report of Katherine Harris striking thousands of black American citizens off the ballots in Florida prior to the election is just the tip of the iceberg. A Gemini Jupiter Messenger bearing news of Bush's strategic ties to the Bin Ladens will not be tolerated by the current U.S. administration.
If we could all be as brave as Michael Moore, it could end differently.
A positive is the upcoming Venus Transit. The last time a Venus Transit occurred was during a time of Gemini Jupiter.
The only way I can end here is with something so simple, so basic, as time. Minutes I cannot get out of my head, however hard I try. After President Bush heard the news of the planes crashing into the twin towers, he posed for photos (smiling) in the Emma Booker School in Sarasota, Florida, talked to children, and gave a speech -- all lasting for twenty-five minutes. Twenty-five minutes.
