As successful as you are in so many areas of your life, particularly in a new endeavour, you are seeing with a new clarity. And that operation which opens your eyes can be painful. August will prove to be a very emotionally fulfilling month when you have dealt with this.  

Those around you, in close proximity, your siblings - your brother or your sister or your friend who is like a sibling - and those you live near, are all acting nuts. He gets shot in the thigh by Hercules (it's an accident!) and he begs the gods to put him out of his misery. But because Chiron is immortal, his fate is to suffer for eternity.

When the gods let him die, let him cease being immortal, the wound that can never heal - heals.

Similarly, with you.

When you let a pain that feels like it's been in there forever, go - it goes. When you stop feeling trapped by a sibling's (or friend who feels like a sibling) words and actions, you will give yourself your freedom.

Mercury in the fourth house actually serves to strip bare the house it is transiting. It is transiting your home and family. You see what seems to be, what you'd like it to be, and then you see what is underneath that, and its motivation.

Practically and materially it's all GO ahead!

In your fourth house of home and property you have an awesome - and interesting - line up of heavenly bodies: the glorious, almighty Sun; brilliant Mercury (in retrograde August 2 - 26, but more on that anon); your ruler sweet and beautiful Venus from July 28 to Sunday, August 21; and an exciting new Moon on Saturday, July 30.

Whatever is in your heart to do concerning this area - whether it to be deal with a property, move, or renovate your home - you must pursue. There will be slight delays, due to Mercury retrograding August 2 - August 26, but this month really is the best time.

You are more in control than ever before. Even if things do not go your way! You are carving your own path, and a lot of responsibility rests on your shoulders.  

So let go what needs to be let go. It is hard for you to leave the past behind. It will be an effort. But you will succeed.

The rest of August is a time for play and spinning out of control and for making your day-to-day more enjoyable. Also about learning lessons concerning your work, and, to a lesser extent, travel.

Your ruling planet, planet of love and beauty, Venus, is awesomely aspected most of August and this gives you a golden glow as well as protects you. You will feel good.  

You will be getting "out there", making your presence known.

Yes, 'tis the season of Mercury retrograde again - and remember, everyone goes through this - everyone on the planet - and everyone makes mistakes - so be kind and compassionate to everyone out there.

The official day Mercury goes retrograde is Tuesday, August 2. This lasts - for everyone in the world - until Friday, August 26.

This is the time to take a break, go zen, play a little. Because, for everyone, no matter how hard you try, business is not as usual.

The hardest thing is to have patience. But with patience, come the rewards!

For everyone Mercury rules cell phones, as well as land lines, computers, cars, planes - and all thought and movement, including all forms of travel. He likes to go fast - he is the winged messenger who flies.

But he's going to be retrograding for twenty-four days.

If you are traveling during this time, just relax.

You will be noticing how travel is delayed, phones aren't working properly, and everyone keeps changing times on you.

You need to be aware that you could lose or misplace things - such as your wallet, your phone - cars break down - appointments are forgotten or broken - and the ordered universe generally goes awry.

The good news? It only lasts twenty-four days!

Mercury particularly affects electronics and any form of travel. Back up your computer files. Mercury rules all forms of communications, including, from the 1940's, computers. Computers go wonky during Mercury retrograde, as do phones, and anything that has to do with communication.

The work you can do?   

RE-trograde means to go backwards. The past becomes very powerful. You can re-examine it. Old people pop up in your life.

A great deal of healing is possible at this time. Mercury, after all, also rules healing.
